#89: Eiffel for a golf ball

Pun painfully intended. Do I regret it? I regret nothing. I know I haven't posted anything lately, but I've been very busy. And even more lazy. Mostly lazy. So, here you go. About a week ago I found myself near the Eiffel tower and I couldn't resist the temptation. I'm just a man, I'm not made of stone.

Here's the same setting with different focus. I like it, even if it's dark.

#88: Golf ball on a bench by the Seine

Yesterday I took a walk at the center of Paris. As usual, I had my golf balls with me. As usual, I had the camera with me as well.

Here we change the focus. The big building on the right side is the city hall of Paris, the Hôtel de Ville. A very cool area, with various events taking place every now and then. And some golf balls posing for a cool blog.

#87: Golf ball and chestnut-like fruits...

...but they're not chestnuts. I won't taste them. I just wanted to take a photo with a golf ball. Maybe I'll open them for a bird or something.

#86: A golf ball and some rooftops in Kavala

Kavala looks nice in summer. There, I said it. I don't hate it as much as I have led you to believe. Especially when it's seen through the eyes of a golf ball.

I've always been fascinated by the houses that are built on the hillside. They look very cool, but what a pain in the ass must have been to move all the furniture in there.

#85: Golf balls, rails and spikes

Today I was at La Garenne Colombes, a bit outside Paris, when I walked alongside the railroad. I had to place a golf ball on the iron fence, of course. It was cool that the train was passing.

And this is some zooming out. With no train passing. Still cool, right?

#84: Golf balls on a hat

Back in my hometown, I know another guy, who has a hat. But he has no golf balls. This is where we completed each other.

#83: Golf ball riding a bicycle

Back in my hometown, I know a guy who has a horse, a dog, a store, a head AND a bicycle. So, naturally, I took advantage of this as well and I put a golf ball on it. It wouldn't stay. Then I put it next to the wheel. It stayed.
And again. This time the focus is not on the ball, but you get the idea, don't you?

#82: Grapes, watermelon, golf balls

So, in early September I was the best man on the wedding of one of my best friends. Later, at the place where we celebrated, I had my golf balls with me. And here's one of the photos I took.

#81: Golf balls on the balcony

Kavala is a town at the northern part of Greece. The golf balls went there at the beginning of September. Here's one more photo of them.

And here's the classic photo with the changed focus. I have better photos of the whole town. These here are reserved for the golf balls.

#80: Golf balls on a plane

On September 2, I went to my hometown. And I was determined to take many golf ball photos. This was the first one, before even landing, yeah.

And this was the second one. The only ones I took in the plane, actually. Pretty cool, right? Yes. Yes, indeed.

#79: Golf balls on a haystack

The guy who has a horse, has also some hay for the horse to eat. That stack was asking for the golf balls. So I listened.

#78: A dog that doesn't care for golf balls

Back in my hometown I know a guy who has a dog. He's the same one who has the horse, the jewel store and the head from the previous posts. The dog wasn't very playful when I showed him the golf ball.

Just look at him, sitting there, doing nothing. I get more excited with the balls. What can I say, dogs are strange.

#77: Golf balls on my head

Back in my hometown, I know a guy who has a head. So I put a golf ball on it. It wasn't easy. But I made it, because I'm a fighter.

#76: Golf balls and golden rings

This is what I used to do some years ago and for many years. Now I don't, but some guy I know does. He also has a horse. I placed the golf balls everywhere. I mean it.

Here are the golf balls again, together with the golden rings. Very artistic. So very artistic, indeed.

#75: The golf ball and the horse

Back in my hometown, I know a guy who has a horse. And I have golf balls. So, to make a long story short, photos were taken.

And here's another one. The horse is quite friendly, or at least that's what I think with my long experience with horses. In any case, I didn't dare put a ball on it. There's only so much I can actually try for my art.

#74: Golf ball with cream, sugar and cinammon

In Greece (and I don't really know where else) there's this sweet called bougatsa, which consists of some enormously and painfully delicious ingredients (which are also enormously and painfully full of fat and calories). My recent short visit marked me as the weirdo who puts golf balls everywhere and takes photos. Oh well. I can live with that. It's not like it's not true or something.

#73: Golf ball waiting for the tram

So, this morning I had to take a detour after work, since the train didn't go to my destination for some reason, so I ended up waiting for the tram to take me home, two stations further ahead. I had some time and some golf balls with me, so here's one of the photos I took. The tram we see there was going to the opposite direction.

#72: How much does a golf ball weigh?

45.2 grams. That's right. No more, no less. You don't believe me? Well, see it better.

How about now? How could you ever doubt my words? Would I lie about golf balls? Would I?

#71: Golf ball leaving Trouville

Well, that's enough Deauville and Trouville for the golf balls for now, I guess. Until the next time.

#70: Golf ball enjoying the sunny day

Still in Trouville, facing the sea and Deauville and a bird flying. Yeah, I took many bird photos these days. But here I only post golf ball photos, so there.

Here's something more focused. And with an angle. I started backwards this time.

#69: Night golf ball and car passing by

Golf ball in long exposure. Not very long, but long enough to see the movement of the lights without shaking very much. For a photo taken with a point-and-click camera, I'm very satisfied with the quality.

And again, with even more light passing by. Pretty cool, huh?

#68: Golf ball's night out

This bush in Deauville could take the weight of the golf ball, so I took a photo of them together. In the evening, when it was dark.

And then again, but I changed the focus. I hope it's OK.

#67: Golf ball looking at Trouville

Still at the bridge that connects Deauville with Trouville, this golf ball decided to take a look on the other side too. Actually, I was the one who decided to do so and, since the golf balls are always in my bag, they came with me.

And here's a better look. With the houses in Trouville, with the trees in Deauville, and the sea between them. I like this place. I can't help it and I don't want to.

#66: Golf ball in front of the jumping water

Yeah. That's how I called it. Jumping water. It's in Deauville and the golf ball is in front of it.

And, for the bonus photo, I changed not just the focus, but the angle as well. Am I spoiling you? Am I? I think I am.

#65: Golf ball near the bridge

Don't get tired yet. There's a lot of golf balls in Deauville and Trouville to go. This one is next to the bridge that connects the two towns.

So is this. Only that I changed the focus. Like a cunning little devil I am.

#64: Golf balls in a bowl

It's cool to find out that others have similar habits as yours. These golf balls are at a hotel in Deauville and, of course, I had to take a snapshot of them. Obviously. Duh.

Tuesday, September 1, 2015

#63: Golf ball under a blue sky

This golf ball was in Trouville, but the background sky and houses are in Deauville. Beautiful places, anyway.

#62: Golf ball on a spaceship?

Where is the golf ball? Is it a bird? Is it a spaceship? What is it? WHAT IS IT?

It's just some light on the sidewalk in Deauville. Here's the same photo, with more insane exposure.

Get it now? Huh? There's even a car parked over there. Cool stuff.

#61: Golf balls and seaweed

At the beach of Deauville again. In July I had taken many golf ball photos in that area. I haven't published them all yet. I will though.

Saturday, August 29, 2015

#60: Golf balls in front of huge buildings

At La Defense again. Between the golf balls and the buildings there is a pool with water inside, but it's not for swimming. Don't swim in there.

#59: Lonely golf ball on top

The train station of Courbevoie is a cool spot from which you can find yourself in Paris in 10 minutes. And it's got a lot to capture with the camera.
